Rep. Trott Comments on President’s Nuclear Negotiations with Iran

WASHINGTON, DC:  U.S. Representative Dave Trott (MI-11), Michigan’s only member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today released the following statement on President Obama’s framework of a nuclear agreement with Iran:

“Both Republicans and Democrats have deep reservations about President Obama’s continuing nuclear negotiations with Iran. As Prime Minister Netanyahu warned, the President’s urgency to strike any deal he can risks paving the way for Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. The American people rightfully don’t trust Iran and expect to see stronger leadership from this White House. I will continue to follow the negotiations closely and work with my colleagues to ensure the world never has to face the dangerous threat of a nuclear-armed Iran.”
