Veterans and Military Families
As Americans, we owe our freedom and security to the brave men and women who have served in our nation’s military. Rep. Trott believes our veterans are true heroes and that Congress must do everything it can to ensure they receive first-class care when they return home from serving our country.
Unfortunately, far too many veterans have to wait long periods of time just to receive their benefits. Many veterans’ disability claims are currently backlogged—meaning our veterans are waiting too long to receive the benefits they have earned.
Rep. Trott wants Congress and the President to work together to find solutions that greatly improve services for our veterans and their families. By cutting through the red tape and reforming the way the Veterans Administration (VA) operates, we can help those who sacrificed so much for us.
Additionally, Rep. Trott is working to ensure that our veterans are able to find good-paying jobs when they return home from service. Rep. Trott supported important legislation to improve employment opportunities for veterans and help our nation’s heroes find the good-paying jobs they deserve.
Rep. Trott encourages any veteran to contact our office if they need assistance in dealing with the VA. From filing for benefits to getting overdue medals, Rep. Trott’s district staff stands ready to assist veterans with any service they need. To learn more, click here.
