Congressman Dave Trott

Representing the 11th District of Michigan

Education and Opportunity

As a father and job-creator, Rep. Dave Trott knows just how important it is to improve America’s education system and prepare our children for the jobs of the 21st Century.

Education is the foundation of a successful workforce and a prosperous economy in Michigan and throughout our nation. Meaningful investment in our children secures the future of our nation by training and equipping the next generation of leaders, scholars, entrepreneurs, and more.

Rep. Trott believes our local school districts in Michigan should be making the decisions for our children’s education—not Washington. Curriculum structure and teaching methods should be chosen by parents, teachers, and communities with real knowledge of their own children’s needs, rather than by Administration bureaucrats.

In Congress, Rep. Trott is focused on finding solutions that improve America’s education, expand access to job training, and make education more affordable for Michigan families. A stronger education system—with less mandates from Washington—will improve America’s standing in the global economy and help citizens in Southeast Michigan have a brighter future.
